Wherever possible, clients will receive a visit from one of our experienced consultants or an in depth telephone discussion. Downtown Recruitment considers it important to understand your business, its structure and the culture of your company. We will also try and help you establish a clear job description and the current skills required/desired for your particular role.
Downtown has been successfully recruiting since 1986 and has fully trained and experienced consultants. Our two permanent consultants (Jane Watkinson and Pam Ashby) have 45 years + combined recruitment experience. Jane Connor, our Temporaries Desk Consultant has 5 years recruitment experience and our Managing Partner (Steve Young) 14 years.
Each candidate is individually interviewed and profiled before being submitted for any vacancy.
For permanent or contract staff no placement means no fee! We also provide competitive terms with a 12 week rebate period for permanent placements. In fact, we are so confident in selecting the right "permanent candidates" that we offer a 4 week 100% refund in the unlikely event that they don't work out*. Temporary staff provide flexibility to meet the demands of your business without commitment and at short notice. They can be provided for short term (as little as half a day) to long term assignments (several months). Employing temporary staff saves the additional costs of National Insurance, Holidays and absence through sickness or maternity leave etc. Don't forget that this can add anything from 20-30% to your standard salary costs.
We have extensive local knowledge of the market, including local salary levels and can provide general advice on your salary levels.
Advertising costs are included in our fee, so no extra charge to you.
