Warehouse Operative to work within the Supply Chain - Logistics department. Thame location. The main purpose of this role is to undertake all duties and responsibilities with the highest regard to health and safety of people, product and facilities. To undertake all warehouse duties required to ensure that all products are receipted, stored and dispatched in the correct manner and at the correct time in order to meet customer service levels in line with all required procedures/processes. Main Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in the induction and training of new staff. Assist with the implementation of an inventory location programme. Assist with dispatch and relevant paperwork, in line with delivery instructions. To assist in the stock take processes. Excellent teamwork/communication is achieved within the department and between other departments where there is interaction. Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience- Warehousing experience. Current Counter Balance License is essential and Reach Truck would be beneficial as well or the ability to gain such a licence. Will possess good numeracy skills and attention to detail. Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment. Basic IT systems skills required. A current driving license is required, potentially for some local driving. Hours of operation may vary, but nothing earlier than 7 AM and should be no later than 5PM. The current shift pattern is under review. Standard hours are 08:30 until 5 PM Monday to Friday, with the odd opportunity for overtime. A standard week is 37.5 hours. With 1 hour for lunch.
