My client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated mechanical and/or electrical engineer to handle the operation, maintenance, repair and service of their equipment. Applicants ideally need to have previous engineering experience and must be able to read electrical diagrams. They will need good communication skills as the role involves customer interaction. They will need to be a team player, with enthusiasm and sound technical knowledge. Full training on the equipment will be given. Key responsibilities: Undertake maintenance, service and repair of equipment; Provide knowledge and support in the event of plant failure; Diagnosis of plant/equipment defects; To maintain records for health and safety and customer service purposes; Visit sites to repair plant/equipment defects; To maintain and improve health and safety in the workplace; Other workshop duties as necessary. The role will be workshop based for the first 3-6 months for training and a van will be provided for field work. You should expect to be out of the workshop for around 3 days a week and will cover the following areas, for example; London, South East, Midlands. Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Engineering experience - either electrical or mechanical, and could suit someone from a HGV, forklift truck, large plant or access platform background; Understanding of health and safety requirements; Administrative skills, basic IT knowledge as an iPad will be provided to complete forms; Resourceful with high attention to detail. Full driving licence. Hours of work: 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with flexibility and overtime on offer. Salary circa 30k + yearly bonus (Performance related) Location Buckinghamshire, near to Thame, Oxon.
