My Oxford based client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part time basis for approximately 15 hours per week. You will work closely with the company accountant to ensure all financial aspects of the business are up to date on a weekly basis. Roles and Responsibilities: Daily bookkeeping using Xero online accounting system; Invoicing, collecting and processing payments; Maintaining the purchase ledger; Entering supplier invoices; Preparing payment runs through BACS; Sales ledger; Quarterly VAT returns; Financial information and reports to management. The successful candidate: Will have at least 2 years experience in a similar role; AAT qualified to at least level 2, or qualified by experience; Strong background in admin support; Highly computer literate with excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook; Superb attention to detail; Ability to multi task and manage a complex and diverse workload; Ability to efficiently prioritise; Excellent time keeping; Able to work additional hours if necessary; Confident, assertive and able to work without supervision, whilst meeting deadlines. Working hours and days can be flexible to suit. Excellent benefits to include pension, private health care and bonus scheme after completion of probationary period.
