Freelance Artworker Part Time

Salary: Negotiable, Permanent, Long Crendon
My Long Crendon based client is seeking a talented Artworker to join our in-house studio in a freelance capacity with a possible 2 days a week/8 days a month commitment. You will support the Design team in helping produce print ready artwork following established brand guidelines and amending existing material across our brands. Responsibilities: Working closely with the design team to help them produce high quality production-ready artwork across all disciplines using Mac based Adobe Creative Cloud applications; Using your extensive experience and technical knowledge to help set and maintain artworking standards for the team across all creative projects ensuring a high level of accuracy is maintained; Producing necessary product & POS mock-ups and retouching of images, in line with the existing online product image catalogue as required; Liaising with our print partners regarding supplied print specifications and cutter guides to ensure that we always adhere to best industry practice; Ensuring that all artwork is compliant to brand guidelines across all UK and International markets; Adhering to critical paths to manage and deliver multiple projects on time. Skills and experience: Mac proficient with excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; A good technical understanding of designing layouts and preparing artwork for print with experience of optimising images and banners for digital deployment; Excellent layout, colour and typography skills combined with an overall passion for good layout; Brand standards aware, switching between branded environments with ease; At least 3-4 years experience within a studio environment; Meticulous attention to detail and ability to proof-read own work accurately and able to liaise with suppliers, printers and repro houses; Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite; Self motivated and driven with the ability to multi-task and hit deadlines; Good team player who enjoys a fun, fast-paced environment; Photo editing and manipulation skills would be desirable (taking photos, re-touching, editing and creating product and POS mock-ups). Standard hours of work are 8.30am to 4.30pm with half an hour for lunch. Own transport essential due to rural location. Daily rate - 180 pounds to 220 pounds depending on skills and experience.
