Financial Controller - I have an extremely exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a successful engineering company with production facilities in Sweden, Spain, Japan, China and the USA. Products are sold directly to end customers by an experienced team of sales experts, as well as via specialist retailers. Essential customer sectors are the automotive, construction, electronics, food, logistics and pharmaceutical industries as well as the heavy and manufacturing industry. My client is looking for a dynamic, strategic and commercially astute person to be responsible for the efforts and results of the financial department and reporting to the MD/FD in regards to all financial and accounting activities. Overseeing financial department staff in day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and enhance the profitability of the company. Financial Controller Job Duties: Oversee all company accounts and investments; Create daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts; Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports; Supervise and manage 13 direct reports, these include Sales Administration, Accounts, Order Processing; Motivate and lead team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback; Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported; Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation; Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations; Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports; Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities; Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies; Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
