My client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience. If you have a background as a mechanic working on cars, motorcycles or aircraft restoration, my client could be prepared to train you to be able to restore pre-World-War II prestige, vintage motorcars. The ideal candidate must have solid mechanical experience working on all aspects of engines, transmissions and running gear. Ideally, experience of working on vintage or at least classic cars would be of great benefit. However, if you have proven mechanical engineering experience and a willingness to adapt you may be considered. You should have a comprehensive tool kit. Remuneration is dependent on experience, qualifications and existing skills and is very competitive. In return, you can expect excellent working conditions in a modern and friendly, family-run environment. My client specialises in an automotive brand that is highly-prestigious and sought after. Every vehicle project is different and offers interesting and varied challenges. Owing to the rural location of the business on the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire border, you must be able to drive or be self-sufficient in terms of making your own transport arrangements. Normal hours of operation are from 08.00hrs to 18.00hrs, Monday to Friday with a 1-hour break for lunch - 45 hours per week - 20 days annual holiday + bank holidays. Salary will depend on experience, but will be in the region of 30k.
