My client based in Chalgrove is seeking an Buying Assistant for their busy Buying Team on a 6 month maternity contract basis. The Buying Assistant role will include: Supporting the buyer in all day to day activities including liaising with suppliers, other departments and the warehouse to answer questions and resolve issues; Ordering, logging and returning of samples from suppliers; Organisation of samples for selection, range reviews and shoots; Logging samples onto spreadsheets; Processing sample invoices and raising debit notes; Writing detailed and accurate product descriptions for the Buyer to use in web and catalogue copy; Maintain an up-to-date understanding of range performance and sales reports; Maintain awareness of catalogue range and buying processes; Arrange for suppliers to produce accurate and complete product specifications for all new products; Booking accommodation and transport for the buyers trips in accordance to the budget. The ideal Buying Assistant will: Be a fantastic team player with a positive and mature attitude; They will also be required to muck in and help with sample moving and unpacking boxes; Good Excel knowledge; Great attention to detail. Buying Assistant Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays. Competitive salary dependent on skills and experience.
