My client based just outside Thame is seeking an experienced and hands-on HR and Payroll Manager to join them. HR and Payroll Manager - Duties will include: Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate good judgement and decision-making skills; Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment; Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes; Implement learning/training and development policy; Administer and process payroll and payroll records; Provide first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers; Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy; Provide advice on recruitment and selection strategies; Support the recruitment process - this may include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc; Develop the new starter induction process and carry out new starter inductions. The successful HR and Payroll Manager candidate will be: CIPD qualified; Educated to University degree level; Proven HR generalist experience of at least five years; Experience of running payrolls; Exceptional organisational and communication skills is required together with proven leadership capabilities and solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application; A proactive team player with strong customer service and problem-solving skills; Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy; Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team. HR and Payroll Manager - Working Hours: Office opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm but flexible and/or part time working will be considered. Salary: 40K to 45K (pro rata if part time). Discretionary annual profit related bonus. Holiday: 25 days plus your Birthday. HR and Payroll Manager
