My Oxford based client is seeking a part time Chef to work two full days a week, to include weekends and Bank Holidays. They are looking for someone with real passion and enthusiasm for fresh food and great service, and someone who is outgoing and energetic with the ability to effectively manage a small team of 2 when the Chef Manager has days off. The role will include the preparation and service of food and beverages using fresh, seasonal ingredients whilst maintaining standards of hygiene, food safety and Health and Safety; Driving additional sales with continual promotion of excellent standards of food preparation; Establish and maintain effective working relationships; Actively work on themed events. The ideal candidate will have excellent food preparation skills; Be creative and able to demonstrate keeping up to date with current trends; Have the ability to train and inspire others; Financially astute and able to work to targets. It would be a definite advantage if you have knowledge and experience of working in a care home or with special diets including texture modified diets, especially for the elderly. Hours of work: 14 hours per week over two days, although some flexibility may be required. 13 pounds per hour.
